The adult male form of the Original MSI (1984) is designed to measure the sexual characteristics of adult
male sex offenders. It contains 20 scales and a brief Social History. The core scales are the validity scales
and the basic paraphilia scales of Child Molest, Rape and Exhibitionism with additional scales assessing other
paraphilias, sexual dysfunction, sex knowledge, treatment attitudes and a brief sexual/social history.

The adolescent male form of the Original MSI J was constructed in 1986 and is patterned after the adult male MSI. Special
adolescent male norms are utilized.
